History and Present Facilities

Stouffville Christian School was founded in 1981 by a group of parents in the Stouffville area. It was the vision of this group to provide a quality education with a Christ -centred worldview for families.


 During the years since the school’s opening, SCS has expanded, requiring changes to campus locations three times. God has been faithful to the school over this time and has used many people with servant hearts to be a blessing along the way.


 The school currently occupies the entire second floor of Springvale Church, located at the intersection of Stouffville Road and Kennedy Road. The facility includes a full size gym, music room, bright, well-equipped classrooms, and a playground with large playing fields.

Education at Stouffville Christian School is centred around Christ. This is the lens through which we view everything.

    Respect for others and for the blessings God has given us are foundational components of how we communicate Christ’s love.

    At SCS we strive to develop students who wish to serve selflessly, as Christ served others.


    Don’t think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing. (Philippians 2:4)


  • Excellence

    In all things we strive to do our best. God desires that we strive for excellence in all we do.


    Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than people. (Colossians 3:23)


  • Integrity

    In all situations, God expects us to act with honesty and integrity.


    Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. (Titus 2:7)

    God desires that we would be compassionate leaders who relate in a positive Christ-like manner with everyone we meet in our school, town, and world-wide communities.

SCS Staff & Board

At Stouffville Christian School we know that raising children to be Godly leaders is important.  Children need Godly influences and teaching inside and outside of the home.


We believe that education should be centred around Christ.  We understand that each child is a gift from God. Therefore, we aim to help our students live out biblical values, learn how to work hard in all they do, and treat teachers and fellow students with respect.


We do this through a vibrant biblical curriculum, exemplary educational standards, and advanced extracurricular programs.

Meet the Staff

Board Members

Stouffville Christian School operates as a not-for-profit organization led by a Board of Directors. The Board is made up of parents, alumni parents, and community members that bring specific skills to their positions. They are each devoted to their faith in Christ and work together to help the school provide a quality Christ-centred education to elementary students.


The Board is responsible for overseeing all areas of marketing, finances, and strategic planning for the future, in addition to setting and monitoring all the school’s policies. The group works closely with the Principal who is tasked to provide leadership to the staff and oversee all of the day-to-day operations of the school.
